UTOPIAN FARM

We don’t have the chance to choose where we are born or what life we are going to live when we first arrive in this world. We just have to live and try to make the best of it.
They were born in the countryside.
They are all family.
Working on the farm seven days a week.
Knowing each other very well, growing up together.
They need this time off, showing their true selves; convey feelings and voice thoughts to stop being the concise versions of their everyday selves.
They don’t have the chance to go clubbing, but they know all about these “club kids”.
So they baptise themselves as the “farm kids”.

I wanted to portray a utopian story in which a group of young friends, residents in a small town move away from their monotonous lives as farmers’ children. The friends are bored of their repetitious days of hard work on the farms, they long for excitement and to break out from feeling repressed and not being able to express themselves. Night comes and nobody can judge them. Now they can be themselves, dress as they want, love whoever they want, dance, play, run and scream.
